“Thank you so much for your follow‑up call after the delivery of the new spa last week. We got brave and tried it on Friday evening when it was about 28 degrees! We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t so bad for a couple of steps through the cold outdoor temperature to get in — and we loved being able to enjoy it in the winter!

We especially want to thank you for the stellar customer service during the whole process of choosing the right spa. It is the perfect size, number and placement of the jets, wonderful color and perfect lighting. We definitely made the right decision in choosing the brand and store. Genuine, exceptional customer service is so rare these days. “Dear Ed, DeVaders, and the delivery crew!

To all you guys a big THANK YOU from both Harold and me — the tub and the service exceed our expectations. The delivery crew was awesome; punctual, professional and pleasant, even though they had to slog through the cold mud to muscle the spa into place. They did a perfect job setting it up, making sure I was happy with it.

I am so glad we got the ‘floor model’ too — we would have chosen a darker finish, but you know what? The cedar surround and the blue interior look fantastic in our backyard. Next year we will build a nice deck around it, right now we are ‘roughing’ it redneck fashion: Set the steps up on a plywood covered pallet.

By evening we had our first spa experience… WOW! The Glacier XL does not have a bad seat. Even the cool down seat (I had initially demoted it to a step) has an actual function. Even though I am perpetually cold, I needed to cool down! Harold got permission to lower the temperature down to 100°F — it is plenty warm, and it stays warm even with all the pumps running for 40 minutes with air temps in the low 30s. Actually it warmed up 1 degree!

Afterward I went upstairs a few times before I noticed that the stairs were no longer a climb. The little aches and creaks that build up during the day have been erased! After one time!

The next morning I woke up after a great night’s sleep a half hour early… looked at Harold and said, ‘Hot tub time’. It was 23 degrees outside, but the tub was perfect.

This has got to be the best way to start the day… That is serious therapy, and works on both mind and body!

We are very happy with our purchase and would be glad to serve as a reference for DeVaders. Five (of 5) stars all the way. Yes, I wish we had done it sooner — so far the only regret.

“In July we began looking for our family’s first hot tub. I started in Topeka and even checked out some companies in the Kansas City area. It was all rather confusing until several friends pointed me in the direction of DeVaders Pools and Spas.

From the moment I first spoke to Ed Lenherr on the phone he made sense out of all of the confusion. I stopped by the showroom and Ed showed me all the options in jetting, color, size, models and water maintenance. He took the time to answer all of my questions. I knew from the start that he was interested in finding the perfect tub for my family. He asked many questions and helped me settle on the Arctic Spa Tundra.

I was scheduled to have my spa installed in late September… when I found out my wife wanted to have a party a few days before the installation date. I spoke with Ed and he was able to have the spa installed and ready for action the day of the party!

It’s clear that Arctic Spa makes one of the best products on the market. You can research the hardware on the internet and Arctic always sits among the top in quality of craftsmanship, features, efficiency and durability.

But it’s the employees and owners at DeVaders that puts them in a league of their own. Their total commitment to serving the customer and exceeding all expectations is their way of doing business.

One question I asked myself as I was soaking in my new tub last night was… ‘Would I send my Mom to DeVaders if she were in the market for a tub?’

“We bought a hot tub in March of 2006 from DeVaders Pools & Spas. The Arctic Spa was a little higher than the others, but well worth it. It is well insulated, you will save much more in electricity than the difference in purchase price. We have had only minor problem, and when we did, Waylon and Ed took care of us right away. A very professional business. I would recommend them to anyone.”

“It’s refreshing to find someone with integrity trying to make sure that consumers are not having problems & are getting what they believe they have purchased, and working to make their company a leader in making a good product at a fair price while still looking at new and innovative ways and parts to help consumers keep the cost of operation to a minimum. We made the decision to buy the Arctic Cub Ultra that was on the floor at DeVader’s Pools & Spas, Inc. in Topeka, Kansas on Wednesday May 31st at 5:30 pm. We spent one weekend in May wet testing several spas trying to find the spa that would work for us as I wanted to purchase one for my husband’s 50th birthday and because we have been working on a particularly back-straining job as of late. The Arctic Fox was the right dimension for our deck, but the lounger was not long enough for my husband and did not have the water jets in the legs. We found that we had to have the leg jets in the lounger, and decided that the Cub was the best fit for us! We looked at other brands that compared to the Cub in size, but we just couldn’t find one that compared to the quality of the Arctic. Also, the other spas didn’t have as many water jets in the leg area and we weren’t able to wet test some of the spas. DeVader’s filled up two different spas for us to wet test, and we didn’t even have to ask, it was offered! Some places we talked to said that back of the leg jets in the lounger are not needed, but I beg to differ!

We spoke to a few people that the salesman, Ed Lenherr, had given us their names and phone numbers to talk to. The three individuals we called had had their Arctic spa for 3-4 years, and only one had had any problem that was remedied quickly by DeVader’s. The Cub was delivered on June 9th after we modified our deck and we have enjoyed it ever since. We have been happy with the service that DeVader’s has given us so far and I don’t see any reason that will change. We live approximately 55 miles from Topeka, but Richard and Cindy that installed it, and who have been very helpful, have a son that lives in Manhattan we are located near and have dropped off things for us. It seems there are more people in our town who have just recently bought Arctic Spas so I’m sure DeVader’s will be servicing all of us well.”

The seat with the jets for your neck and shoulders is awesome. The lights and the waterfall make for a special experience. Add the speakers and the Bluetooth to stream my Ipod and it doesn’t get any better than this. I have been in a lot of hot tubs over the last 30 years and none can come close to my Arctic Spa. I have been in it every night and its great!

“Have to say that after four months I am really impressed with this spa. We have used it almost every day! And any time I have a question, my emails are answered within hours (or sometime minutes!). Yesterday I was going to drain the tub for the first time since we bought it and I could not get the drain stopper unscrewed. Within 30 minutes a maintenance crew from the shop was in my backyard and they removed the drain! It doesn’t get any better than this.”

Really appreciate the sales and service provided by the folks at DeVader’s. I’m a first time spa owner so I need lots of advice on best practices for chemicals, filters, cleaning etc. The guys have always answered my questions on the phone or in the store in a common sense manner I can understand without making me feel silly. We’ve recently been tweaking my chemicals to work best with the water I’ve got out here in the country. The guys were really great about ordering a special chemical for me and giving me advice about how to use it. Speaking of out in the country, have no fear about the warranty service quality and timeliness if you happen to live outside of Topeka. Twice I’ve called for warranty support, once for an error code and once for cover problems. Both times I was mentally prepared to wait for a few days for them to get out to me and both times I was pleasantly surprised by same day service. Really very impressed with that given I’m about 30 miles outside the city. Finally I’d like to comment on the spa DeVaders sold me. We bought an Artic Swim Spa. First things first; the sales pitch was spot on. Everything they told me about my spa from the great exercise I get in it during the summer to the toasty warmth on the coldest winter nights was a no bull story. I sat out in my spa almost every evening this winter no matter what the weather. Winter nights in a spa are amazing. One evening in December we had a meteor shower and the folks on the news kept talking about how it was a disappointment that many people wouldn’t watch much of it due to the cold temperatures. Not me! I was out there for 3 hours soaking in 102 degree water counting shooting stars. It was an awesome experience. I’m getting ready to set up my spa for the summer swim season. I swim in it every other day and get a great cardio workout without the impact my old joints would get if I worked out on my treadmill 6 days a week. Plus the spa comes with a rowing attachment and exercise bands which I find really helpful to do low impact, physical therapist prescribed exercises. I just love this spa. If you’re curious about a new spa and not sure what you want or need I’d like to recommend the folks at DeVader’s. Very, very helpful.
